Midwest Sports Supply brings to you this auction for a lightly USED Volkl Power Bridge 8 Tennis Racquet!
The racquet is rated an 8 out of 10 - used only through our Demo Program - it has minor scuffs on the bumper guard, and light cosmetic scratches at 9:00 on the frame from normal use. Structurally, the racquet is in perfect condition.
Racquet has been newly strung with a Wilson Nxt 16g tennis string at 55 pounds.
Grip has brand new Unique Tournagrip.
The Volkl Power Bridge 8 is a power-minded racquet that is surprisingly controlled - delivering an energetic transfer of speed & spin to the ball. The Power Bridge 8 maintains the use of Volkl's DNX material in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions as well as in the cap above the grip, but with the added stability of the DNX-reinforced Power Bridge in the throat area. DNX material placed in key regions, combined with a stiffer frame construction in the shaft area produces maximum power in a player's frame.
One of the most important factors that determine the power of a tennis racket is the stability and stiffness of the frame. Because the more stable the frame is, the more kinetic energy can be returned to the ball. Using the next generation of DNX technology, Powerbridge is an innovative construction which considerably increases the stability of the critical throat/yoke area of the frame. This makes the entire racket more powerful and dynamic. This effect is achieved on the one hand by integrating the high-strength DNX material and on the other hand by increasing the specific material density in the yoke.
DNX technology is a unique new material developed by Volkl in cooperation with the Fraunhofer TEG Institute in Germany, that is 25 times stronger than any other mass-produced carbon fiber. DNX is located in three strategic points in the racquet to improve playability. DNX at 3 and 9 o'clock increases torsional stability, allowing for greater control, even off-center hits. DNX is also placed in a cap above the grip to add strength and power to the frame.
