Bike is in fantastic shape. Alot of people say there are only "X" number of miles on their bikes. I know how many miles are on my bike because I can count the number of times I've ridden it on one hand and still have a couple of fingers left. The bike is in fantastic shape- I'm in horrible shape (not to mention, a little too old to be riding mountain bikes). I went to the Trek store with an open wallet and built this bike based upon some of my buddies' recommendations. I should have ridden mountain bikes before spending over $3,600 on this one. Had I done that, I would have realized that I don't like mountain biking, saved myself a broken collar bone, and saved a lot of money. Here are the specs:
Frame: Trek EX 9
Fork: Marzocchi Bomber ETA Pro. Retail on this was about $600. It's a really nice fork as it has 3 lockout positions. No leaking problems like the Fox forks.
Cranks: Shimano XT- not a single scratch or rub mark
Brakes: Hayes Carbon Hydraulic with oversize 180mm front rotor. These retailed for $500 and they are awesome. I rode my buddy's Paragon with Avid Juicy 7's and these put the Juicy's to shame. Incredibly powerful!!!
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XTR
Front Derailleur: Shimano XT
Shifters: Shimano XT rapidfire (not the junk dual controls)
Wheels: XT hubs, DT swiss spokes, Bontrager Tubeless rims (these are real tubeless wheels, not the rim strip conversions).
Seat Post: Thomson Elite
Stem: Thomson Elite
Handlebars: Azonic XC flat bars
Headset: Cane Creek
Grips: Cane Creek lock on grips
Pedals: Nashbar (clipless on one side and flat on the other- great for beginners)
Let me know if you have any questions. Happy bidding!
