TRADITIONAL IRONS
A three-step-sole on the Onyx 5-PW irons reduces drag and lets the club head slide through the turf. Extra weight placed in the middle of sole improves on the traditional muscle back design by increasing the launch angle for todays reduced spin golf balls. These stainless steel irons have an oversized cavity back to provide an expanded hitting area.
HYBRID IRONS
The hybrid 3 Iron and 4 Iron blend the ease of hitting a higher lofted wood with the accuracy of an iron. These stainless steel hybrids also contain (2) brass inserts to lower the center of gravity and insure a higher launch angle. The middle of the crown has been reduced to further increase the perimeter weighting that makes these clubs much easier to hit than the traditional longer irons they replace.
DRIVER
The Onyx driver pushes the USGA limits for maximum size and C.O.R. This can only be accomplished through the benefits created from a Beta Ti clubface adhered to a 6-4 Titanium body. These space age materials combined with 10.5 loft provide a huge sweet spot and produce the proper trajectory for greater distance.
FAIRWAY WOODS
The Onyx fairway woods also feature pre-set dual tungsten weighting screws to discourage the tendency to fade or slice (draw bias). The screws are inserted at the back of the soleplate, pushing the center of gravity away from the clubface, to improve ball flight. These woods are constructed from 17-4 Stainless Steel. This high quality material offers the strength of Titanium and the great value you expect from Square Two Golf. A slight offset also helps to reduce left to right shots. The raised center channel on the sole plate, with accompanying step-downs around the weighting screw ports, assists the club through tough lies. The gold dot on the crown encourages perfect alignment at address.
SHAFTS
All woods have graphite shafts. Hybrids and Irons have steel shafts. Available in Regular Flex. RH Only.
This set includes three graphite shafted woods, two (3&4) steel shafted hybrids and six (5-PW) steel shafted traditional irons for a total of eleven pieces.
