SHAFT SELECTION CHART
Use this chart to determine which shaft flex is right for you based on your swing type and driver distance.
|
Carry Distance with Driver
(average distance ball travels in air- do not include roll) |
Recommended Shaft Flex *
(see footnote below) |
|
Less than 165 yards |
Ladies Flex |
|
From 165 yards to 195 yards |
Senior Flex |
|
From 196 yards to 230 yards |
Regular Flex |
|
From 231 yards to 270 yards |
Stiff Flex |
|
More than 270 yards |
Extra Stiff |
|
*If your average driver distance falls near the end of one range and the beginning of another, we recommend the following:
1. If you have a slow smooth easy tempo, choose the weaker of the two flexes.
2. If you are a hard swinger with a fast tempo, choose the stronger of the two flexes.
3. If you have a medium tempo, then the weaker flex shaft will give you a 'little' more distance with a 'little' less accuracy. The stronger flex shaft will give you a 'little' more accuracy with a 'little' less distance. |
