The Frame:
This is a De Rosa Professional SLX frame. The serial number is "13" which indicates that this was an early prototype or show bike. The frame measures 53cm top tube x 53cm seat tube. The frame has a chrome fork and chrome chainstays. This frame is in perfect condition and has never been ridden. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
The Wheels:
The vintage Campagnolo Shamals are legendary classic deep section rims. They are tubular rims. The tires have been LIGHTLY glued on but just for show as there is such a thin coat of glue that the wheels would not be rideable without being glued properly.
The Components:
Another highlight of this bike is the NOS Campagnolo C Record components. The C Record group is considered by many to be the most beautiful Campagnolo group ever produced, especially the cranks. This group is becoming very hard to find and even harder to find NOS. Do not mistake the chain for cheap painted ones that are made these days. This chain is made by a brand called "Everest". There is not much info on this particular company anymore but they were some of the nicest chains in their day. The bike comes with a perfectly flawless white Turbo saddle and matchine white Campagnolo toe straps. The handlebars and stem are both 3T Pista.
The Crank Bolts:
Under ordinary cirumstances it would be silly to focus on crank bolts but this is no ordinary bike. The crank bolts on this bike are chrome plated and domed out with Campagnolo engraved on them. These bolts were never put into production and were only used on Campagnolo show bikes. They are extremely rare and really compliment the C Record cranks like nothing else could.
The Pedals:
The Pedals are Campagnolo Record TBS. They are almost identical to the Croce d'Aune except these have black anodized cages that are removable. They were Campagnolo's top of the line pedal.
