Today I have received a letter of authenticity from the Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball Hall of Fame for this Ebbets Field seat.
It states the following: "This is an original seat that was one of 33,586 seats located in Ebbet's Field in Brooklyn, New York. It was cast in Birmingham, Michigan in 1912. This seat was located in a section in the Lower Level between home plate and third base. It was present during nine World Series and two playoffs and witnessed the legendary exploits of the Brooklyn Dodgers."
This letter of authenticity is signed by the President of the Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball Hall of Fame, Mr. Marty Adler.
eBay won't allow me to add a picture of the letter because I have already posted 12 pictures, however, if you would like me to send you a copy of the letter, please click "Ask the seller a question" above and send me your email address.
I have framed the letter and will include it with this auction.
Good Luck to Gill Hodges in getting elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the National Baseball Hall of Fame Committee on Baseball Veterans this coming December !!
And GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS !
