1998 Honda VFR800 Interceptor up for bid.
Highly sought pre-catalytic converter model.
It has 63,000 miles on it. The bulk of them
are highway miles. I'm selling this for a
friend who is 66 years old and definitely NOT a
racer! He's since bought an ST and this one is
lonely and has just been sitting in his garage the
entire summer collecting dust. The VFR was used for cruising and
touring. It has never been raced or crashed.
My friend lives in Maryland and the bike was mainly
used for commuting and rides to upstate New York to
visit his mother's grave and his family. It used to have soft
saddlebags and a tank bag attached to it and after a
few years the paint was rubbed off in some places. The bike
was
later repainted Ice Blue Pearl over a jet black
basecoat and it's really sweet. It looks black when
you look at it and from certain angles looks blue along
the edges or where struck by light (you can somewhat see the blue pearl in
the pictures when you look closely. It doesn't
show up well in the pictures). The indentation
in the front of the fairing's nose was painted a
flip flop Ice Blue Purple for accent purposes.
The Ice Blue Pearl paint really sparkles and dances
in the sunlight or at night when riding under street
lights. The bike also comes with an
aftermarket D & D exhaust and the rear seat cowling
(The cowling is black. It's not shown in the pics). Aside from the exhaust system and the
paint job, no other modifications have been made.
Good luck on casting the winning bid! (car and
bike tag numbers have been blacked for privacy
purposes)
I reserve the right to end this auction early should it sell elsewhere first. It is presently sitting in front of my house with a "For Sale" sign on it.

eBay's shipping options limit what the seller can offer. Regardless of what the above shipping options say, I will ship anywhere if the buyer arranges shipping. I am not opposed to shipping it, I just don't have a crate for it and do not want to accept responsibility for improper packing or other problems that can occur.
As long as the purchaser makes the necdessary arrangements for shipping, I will be happy to ship it. Also, I reserve the right to end this auction early should it sell elsewhere
first. It is presently sitting in front of my house with a "For Sale"
sign on it.
